Our banner product is the "RK" series as it is adaptable to a variety of markets and more important, it is affordable. This robust unit can withstand the rigours of the construction industry, and operates well in a wide range of temperatures. The installation is simple (Plug'n'Play) and with a minimum of instruction, can be self-installed. Within minutes after activation, you are able to follow your truck(s) 'live' on your personal web site. The entire RK product line includes multi-I/O's that can be connected to a variety of equipment, switches, gauges and meters, and is our most popular solution for its simplicity and performance. The following is an overview of the "RK" product line.





 

Although Road King Technologies has specifically designed the RK3000 for Ready Mix Concrete trucks, it is adaptable to so many other industries and types of vehicles in your fleet including, articulated trucks, volumetric trucks, Dumpers, Pumpers, Bulk Carriers and more. Through it's powerful I/O's, both digital and analogue, the RK3000 can communicate with many third party devices and sensor installed on the vehicle to transfer data in real time to our servers and ultimately to the dispatchers. This would include RFID card readers, hydraulic pressure valves, water meters and even the vehicles CAN BUS in either j1939 or j1708 protocols.

Included in the RK3000 is an accelerometer which allows us to log "fast take-offs" and "hard braking", and thereby the ability to develop driver habits more accurately.

The Global Positioning System inside the RK3000 is a special chip added by Road King Technologies to provide precise vehicle positioning for a LIVE tracking experience like never before. The GPS system, using SIRF IV, gives you accuracy to 2.5 meters.

The installation is fast and simple, Plug'n'Play. And, to make thing even better, Road King Technologies provides free engineering support for you and your team. "Self install" is the preferred option for most companies but, we also provide professional installation services anywhere in US and Canada.

Two things (among others) that will compromise a delivery of Ready Mix Concrete, are over or under mixing, and adding the wrong quantity of water, be it too little or too much. With Road King, you can see the number of mix turns with every batch; but unless you add the Water Meter option, you cannot tell how much water was added subsequent to the departure from the plant. Using a water meter, the total water added will be logged and will be identified with each delivery ticket.

Road King Technologies CPM8-M5 is a digital flow meter, where pulses are generated as the water flows through it, and is further interpreted by Trac18 Software System. The older types tha were used were of the "turbine" variety, and under severe cold temperatures, the fins on the turbine would freeze and break. With our new version, it is completely electronic, with no moving parts to break.

 











 









 

This RK1000 using our cellular tracking system that transmits the GPS coordinates and GPS speed of a vehicle on a timely basis to our server. From there, each client using an assigned name and password, can access and view the data on their vehicles through the web. The added features on this model, provide for reading as many as 4 PTO`s on any vehicle

It is important to capture the labor time of drivers for the following reasons:

Included Functions
  • Time-captured for use in Payroll
  • Time-captured for distribution of applied and unapplied direct labor
  • Time-captured for DOT reports

The RK-RFID is the perfect tool to accomplish this. When the driver arrives to do his shift, he will "beep" IN. If the "time-in" is prior to the start time on record for the driver, "time" will start from the "start time" on record. If the "time-in" is later than that on record, the driver will be docked for the "late-time". From that time, to the first delivery ticket for that driver, the direct labor for that driver will be considered "unapplied". The applied time, will be from the time the ticket is issued, to the time the ticket is closed (truck arrives at plant). At the end of th4e day, the driver can "beep" OUT to close his day of work. Reports can then be generated for applied and unapplied direct labor.

 

An RK-RFID terminal can be set up anywhere, so that you can even do Job Costing, by assigning labor to different Jobs or areas in the plant, e.g. Garage, Recycling, Block Manufacturing, or any place where you need to apply available direct labor.

 

**The RK-RFID terminal consists of an RFID Card Reader connected to an RK500 GPS/Modem. The GPS Location of each terminal is what the system will use to determine which "Job" is being done. You can even use the RFID Card Reader connected to an RK3000 unit in a ready Mix Truck to determine which driver was doing that particular delivery. * Radio-frequency identification (RFID) is the use of a wireless non-contact system that uses radio-frequency electromagnetic fields to transfer data from a tag attached to an object, for the purposes of automatic identification and tracking. Some tags require no battery and are powered by the electromagnetic fields used to read them. Others use a local power source and emit radio waves (electromagnetic radiation at radio frequencies). The tag contains electronically stored information which can be read from up to several meters (yards) away. Unlike a bar code, the tag does not need to be within line of sight of the reader and may be embedded in the tracked object.
